WBC’s mission is to nurture extraordinary human beings— confident, resilient, creative young people who strengthen community. Through accessible high-quality training, performances, and community programs, we create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn, grow, and experience the transformative power of ballet.

Westchester Ballet Company (WBC) is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization committed to nurturing excellence in ballet and eliminating barriers to access.
WBC serves:
100+ local children in the public schools who receive no-cost ballet classes in our after-school program administered in collaboration with the United Way of Westchester and Putnam.
75+ children in the community, aged 3 - 18, who attend no-cost ballet classes in our studios through a program funded by the Westchester Country Youth Bureau.
Approximately 65 young ballet students annually, ages 6-18, who receive specialized pre-professional training and performance opportunities in professionally produced ballets marketed to the general public.
Thousands of audience members each year who attend our affordable, public performances.
How we bring our mission to life:
· Eliminating financial barriers by providing financial aid and scholarships
· Maintaining affordable ticket prices for audience members
· Partnering with other nonprofits serving children and families in the community
WBC Dancers train with us and also with other ballet schools throughout the region. Dancers become members of WBC through open auditions that are held each year in September and January. Participation fees apply. Company dancers are eligible for merit scholarships and financial assistance that can be applied toward participation fees or tuition.
